You are your friends

“Birds of a feather flock together”

Friends are the biggest influence in our lives, even more than family.

If you don’t believe me, look at many school reports for badly behaved children.  They will be full of things like:

He is a good person, he’s just in the wrong crowd.,,,,

She has potential but her choice of friendship groups is questionable….

Tom is a negative influence on him…

And it is important to realise this if you want to make your life better – because essentially, you are, who your friends are.

Everyone could potentially be a leader

I was reading a book on leadership, when someone remarked “Aspiring to be a manager are we…”

There still seems to be a wide confusion between being a leader and being in charge.

My Hell – 1 year on

It was almost a year ago when I was heading up for a crash and my life took a turn for the worse and I thought there was no escape.

I even wrote a post about it called My Hell.

Fix it! – Bike Maintenance Course review

As part of my drive to fix my bike and cycle it regularly, I decided that I would improve my skills so I felt confident to make basic repairs on my bike.

I typed in Bike Maintenance course into Google and came up with the Fix it! class run by the people at Evans Cycles.  So I paid £15, with high hopes of getting shown the errors of my ways.

How many notepads does a blog writer need?

It’s my first real effort at getting rid of some of my stuff and compared to previously I have decided to be more pragmatic in how I choose to clear my possessions out.

How many notepads does a blog writer

I may need this one day…

“How many notepads does a blog writer need?” I think, as I clear out a draw full of items related to writing.  This is not to be mistaken with the draw next to it, which is full of sketchpads and drawing materials.  It’s depressing as I realise my writings are like a mausoleum full of unfinished ideas and broken dreams.
