After my last post about getting my work stolen, I felt ready to give up on all this.

But after a few days passed and the irrational rage died down, I realised how much these feelings were an impulsive reaction based on my frustrations.

This is why it’s always a good idea to get a good night’s sleep before making a major decision.

August has been a month of lots of questioning. Twitter has been giving a bit of backlash on generic, self-improvement platitude content.

These have been swelled by digital marketers, more focused on pumping out quantity to get Internet famous, but still I questioned if I too was adding to this noise.

I had a couple of family vacations coming up, and realised I wouldn’t be able to keep up. This is why I decided to take the month off and have a blogging break.

Time off has giving me headspace.

Space to not get overwhelmed.

Not be surrounded by noise.

But having clarity to think.

Putting all doubts aside…

Putting all doubts aside, I remind myself I am not the same, I’ve never been here to make a quick buck, my work gives me the freedom to explore whatever takes my interest, no matter how unprofitable it may be.

Plus I’ve always strived to be better.

Besides, I have so many ideas I still want to talk about – over the next couple of months I want to look at some of these issues in depth – where is self-improvement going? What could it be? What is the role of blogging in all this changing digital world?

This is far from the end… it’s the beginning…

Next week I will be back to posting.

See you then!
